Greer and Cary Grant! What a wonderful daydream!!
I had to vote for good old Walter, but of course Ronald Colman is in a class by himself and Robert Taylor was fabulous with Greer in their two movies together.

walter is my fav of her leading men too!!!! im glad someone else thinks so too!!! i also love her with ronnie colman though. they had great magic together. but her walter had something else that not many other couples had. they were just different from everyone. all there movie together had such class and elegance. they shared a compassionate and enduring love life in their movies.

Walter and Greer were amazing together. The way he wooed her in "Blossoms in the Dust", their pleasant by-play in "Mrs. Miniver", and his bluster in "Mrs. Parkington".
But when she was with Ronald Colman... my god.
I'm going to post a publicity shot from "Random Harvest" on your picture page. I'm sure you've seen this picture already, but I didn't notice it on your site. I have an 8x10 of it on my cubicle wall at work.

Greer and Cary never did a movie together, but they did do a radio broadcast together. It was called Bedtime Story. Here is a photo from the broadcast.

Anyone know which story is true on the famous naked Errol Flynn in Greer's wardrobe closet when she opened it story? I read one story where she got a very big laugh out of it but then I read another story where she screamed and passed out. I was just curious as to which one was true.

i read his auto bio as well as her bio and heres what happened:
"making the picture, which was a great success and landed us a comand performance in England, there was a scene in which Greer was dressed as a dignified victorian. she knew the scene so perfectly that i figured a little levity wouldnt throw her. at one point she had to go to a wardrobe-room, open a door, take her dress out and start putting it on. when at rehearsals i saw that she was quite at ease in the bit, i got into the wardrobe myself. i crouched there, like a figure in a waxworks, clad only in my top hat. she went through the scene, as she was supposed to, first singing, then saying, "now mabel, ill put my dress on." i became mabel. i screamed in a high falsetto, "here i am, honey!" she jumped and dropped everything. greer got even a few days later. we were shooting a scene in a victorian carriage. i was supposed to be very pompous. i had my gold-headed walking-stick between my legs and i played this scene looking straight into the camera, with a stiff grip on the head of my gold cane. there came a time when i had to open the door and say, " now my dear, shall we alight?" we didnt, but i sure as hell did, because as i touched the doorknob the electric contact greer had fixed right in the seat of my pants made me go through the air like a withc riding a broom." ~errol flynn.
i laughed for five solid minutes after i had read that. heehee!

Dan One thing to add to the Errol Flynn "naked in the wardrobe" prank. He said in his bio that of all the actresses he worked with, she was "fun". She wasn't in awe of him and she didn't hate him. He said she was finely bred, the epitome of an English lady, but she had a mischievous side to her. I have read this story many times, and most say she just screamed. What woman would faint over a naked Errol Flynn!
