I was discussing Gary Cooper and his cheating ways over at the TCM board and am curious if Greer Garson ever had an affair with any of her co-stars. Or is this a subject that is to offensive to discuss here. If so I will leave it go with this post.

no in fact greer never had an affair with any of her costars, if you arent counting the one she married, but then they got divorced. i still cant believe she married richard ney, he really hurt her and i dont like him at all for doing that!!!! the only movie i can even watch with hm is mrs. miniver.
they didnt even have an affair, they just started dating and decided to get married, but they had to halt their plans b/c william wyler wanted them to wait till the end of productions of mrs. miniver.

So that was going on during the filming of Mrs Miniver.
Did Walter ever comment on Greer and what he thought about her as compared to other actresses that he was in films with.

as a matter of fact, he did, he said that she was his favorite leading lady and on his movie he ever made he said, "any of the ones i made with greer garson". and he was in quite a few movies too.  they were such great friends all through their lives, and they visited one another up till they died. he went to visit her on her ranch with buddy fogelson(her husband until he died) and she went to visit him at his home with his wife and daughter. |

laurence olivier in pride and prejudice. they were dating in england before she came to america in the thirties and she was acting on the stage there. but they broke up, and still were friends for the longest time. they visited one another even after they made that movie and had such chemistry in that one!! heehee!

I do need to watch Pride and predjudice yet. I think that will be my next movie to watch as I do have it on dvd.

I knew you would love Rebecca  I have wuthering heights recorded off of tcm but haven't sat down to watch it yet. I am looking forward to watching that one and Pride and predudice. Perhaps you should also include him on your gentleman's list. |

yes i have him on my gentelman's list also i just forgot to mention him, heehee! i really love him too, but i hate when people tell me he was gay. there was no evidence that he did anything sexual with my danny kaye!!! imagine my mr. darcy doing that. it is impossible and i choose not to believe it!! heehee!
