www.edsjaff.com/ggfav.htmthis is a marvelous site completely dedicated to greer, but i must say that this man who designed it has horrible word usage in some parts. i dont like some of the wording he uses, nevertheless, it has lots of fun things to read here.... so please relish it all you want. ;D

I am the man with the horrible word usage. But I do appreciate your mentioning my site.
If the bad word usage appears to be sloppy stuff that I haven't properly proof-read, then please let me know so that I can correct it. But if it's me just being quirky then I'll probably leave it alone (or make it even quirkier).
I too love collecting pics from eBay and printing them at the local Costco/Priceclub. I spend hours using MS/Paint to remove those big letters that the sellers place over top of Greer (i.e., "EBAY", "This picture ...").

well i must say that it is a surprise to see you here ebs!! ;D i never thought another cowriter of another site would join mine. heehee! im sorry about saying you had bad word usage, but greer never said any bad words probably in her lifetime, and i never use bad language, so i wasnt use to reading about her with even one on there. please forgive me, i am glad you have joined the fun on here eds!!!
your site is very intriguing in many ways, you cought things she did in them that i never noticed, and i must have watched them hundreds of times. no i see them all , b/c you have pointed them out, but i have never found out where the the little struffed animal went in random harvest for their little baby. heehee!

Thank you so much for taking an interest in my site.
My wife and children are quite bemused by my obsession. And so am I quite frankly. I never imagined I could lose my compass over an actress, especially at my advanced age. (I am almost an old man.)
Anyway, my ulterior motive in joining your site is to snag pictures. I'm not sure I have many to post in return, for I get most of mine from eBay as well.
However, I've managed to acquire several clipping packets from eBay, and they contain some surprising things, such as actual footage of Greer being swept out to sea along with Richard Hart (with commentary by Greer's favourite cinematographer Joseph Ruttenberg), and an early unrecognizable picture of her coming to America, before she knew how to apply makeup properly. (I am guessing here, because she looks hideous.)
Anyway, it's wonderful to have an obsession again. And it's a safe one too. As I tell my wife, it's good that Greer is no longer alive because otherwise I'd probably be stalking her.

well it is a safe obssesion then. heehee! i have loads of pics i havent posted yet. i would love if you could try and post some of those pics you were just describing!
i have never seen footage of greer being swept out at see. i wonder what would have happened if they kept the film containing her getting swept out, instead of throwing it away. what do you think would have happened to it?

Speaking of old film footage, wouldn't it be amazing to see out-takes and deleted scenes from "Mrs. Miniver" or "Random Harvest"?
Perhaps some of that old film is buried in a vault somewhere, but more likely it's decayed and been thrown out.

There is a website dedicated to Ms. Garson worth looking at, as it has a comment section where people have left messages and related their experience in meeting her personally. Some great stories. A gentleman named Greer Garson Grady is one such story. If you find it he will email you the entire story of how he got his name and was invited to the Forked Lightning Ranch to meet her. The site is http:\\home.hiwaay.net/~oliver/garson.htm Click on Comments, and then View Guestbook. Hope you enjoy.

Ed I visited your website and found it quite entertaining. My husband and I are huge Garson fans and now have an excuse to watch her films again to look for the things you talk about. One thing I noticed, is that you seem to have an "obsession" with her mouth. About six months ago, I read a review of Random Harvest written by a gentleman who is also obsessed with her "shimmering lower lip". It took me some time to find the review again, but I think you will find it interesting. I have been collecting photos and movie magazines for about four years. I must have over 100 magazines, all with pictures of Greer. It's nice to have others now to share these with. Rusty,
Thanks for visiting my site.
Are you one of the evil people who bid against me on eBay?
Did you see that batch of 8x10 photos that was up for auction on Ebay, the auction that ended last Thursday night? That was one fabulous set of photos. I had the high bid for a while, but when I got home just before the auction ended, the bidding was up to $150!! I hope it was you that won, and tha you'll post all of the photos here.

No that was me. Was that you that was bidding against me. No I am just kidding of course. I haven't bought anything of Greer's or anyone else on ebay. My last ebay purchases were in getting some rare bootleg Gary Cooper films on dvd-r over a year ago. I have considered going that rout for Greer and Ronald Colman's unreleased movies but I just don't want to support all them bootlegers again with my money.
