Yes that would have been a bunch of money to spend on them. I'm sorry you or someone from here didn't get them as scans from them could have been shared with everyone.
No I have not seen anything on the net about any movies of Greers except for the two that will be shown on TCM in December.

Ed
I was not the evil one who bid against you for the photos, but I did see them.
Did you read the review about the "shimmering lower lip". If so, what did you think?

Rusty,
And you thought *I* was obsessed.
At least I'm obsessed with *both* of her lips. He's only obsessed with her lower lip. Weird.
Anyway, he talks about a "soggy trot" at the end, and blames it on LeRoy's faithfulness to the novel, but I disagree on two counts.
First of all, I don't find anything soggy about this movie. I love every moment, but then I'm not exactly objective.
Second, I've read the novel and there is not a lot of faithfulness at all. This is one of those typical unfilmable novels that required the screenwriters to do a brilliant job of retaining the basic story and yet producing something that could work on screen.
Almost everything you see on the screen is the invention of the screenwriters. Characters have been taken from the book, but virtually every scene is new.
(I know this is a big "aside", but I wanted to talk about the novel anyway.)
The most amazing thing that the screenwriters did was to find a way to duplicate Hilton's big unfilmable surprise. In the book, we dont discover the big secret until the very last paragraph!
But since you can't keep such a secret on film (because the viewer can SEE everyone's face), the screenwriters moved the big revelation to the middle and shocked us when Rainerier's secretary walks into the room (even though LeRoy telegraphed it by panning over slowly to the door).
Anyway, the entire text of the book is available at the Gutenberg project. Google should find it.
...Ed
P.S. The more I think about it, the more I realize that EVERY scene in this movie is the work of the screenwriters. I can't think of ANY scene from the book that is in the movie. ...Ed
