i love this musical, of course i love all musicals heehee!
greer plays the wife of fred macmurray and they are millionaires with pet alligators and a cute butler. the butler is played by tommy steele and he does a fantastic job with the dancing and singing. he is also some of the comic relief and makes me laugh hysterically! greer and fred have three children, two boys, and a girl. their daughter is played by lesley ann warren.
the biddles(their last name) have boxing class, biddle bible school, and sing and dance all the time. gree even gets to sing in the movie too. whe i forst saw it, i was so excited that they actually let her sing a song...unfortuantely it is at the end, but once you get there, its a joy to watch and hear.
gladys cooper who is also in a bundle of other greer movies plays an aunt of the biddle family and it is fun to watch her competing in song with geraldine page, the mother of lesley ann warren's fiance. they are two different families from two different sides of the street, and watching them all trying to get along is a hoot. heehee!
