Greer Garson ... Jan Stewart Robert Ryan ... Joe Hargrave Barry Sullivan ... Richard Y. Oliver, Sr. Richard Haydn ... Dr. Avord Barrett Barbara Lawrence ... Barbara Dunning James Arness ... Ralph Munsey
this is a real cutsie movie made in her later years of movies. it was in 1954. she playes a woman becomming a new teacher at a boys school. she gets to know her 12 new students and they give her sort of a hard time at first, but they start to really like her. all through the movie they call her sir instead of ma'am. hows that for cute? heehee! robert ryan is great as another teacher falling in love with her, although he doesnt realize he is in love with her until the middle of the middle and the end. james arness plays the P. E. teacher and also has a little crush on her. while she gives them dancing lessons in the gym. he dances with her to give them an example of what its really like. they actually dance quite well together.
later in the movie she gets a new student who needs a little understanding and discipline, and attention to say the least. she helps him realize what being nice and friends are all about. his father played by barry sullivan also falls for her and asks him to go away with him for the summer. all in all, it is a very charming movie, just not as dramatic as her oscar nominated ones.
