oooooooh! what a picturesque movie, honestly! i love this movie because i love children and babies. they are the cutest things.heehee...and greer and walter of course. actually this is the first greer and walter movie made. and this is the very first greer garson movie i actually ever saw, from then on i was hooked! she shows so much strength and fantastic acting skills here. she plays edna who marries sam gladney(walter of course). they have a little boy, but he dies in an automobile accident. this tears edna's heart apart. later she starts a day care, and then helps children who are "illigitimate"(a word i dont like to use either). she fights for all the children in texas to ban the law about illigitimacy and children, and rightly! in the process sam dies. she later becomes quite attatched to a little boy in her childrens home. she took him in as a baby and figured out that he had a problem with one of his legs, and needed therapy. she looked after him closely with lots of care, naturally i would too. all i have to say is that you people need to see this movie, esp for new classic movie lovers.

So do you have this one on VHS or did you tape it off of TV?
I may try to pick up the VHS to this one sometime soon.

Yeah it isn't showing up on the tcm web site on a search for Greer Garson or on a search for Blossoms in the dust.
I wonder if the scedule was changed and the move got bumped off the scedule?

Ok I'll have to try that. I do know that a Ronald Colman silent was showing up on line last month and then it just vanished off o the schedule so I am hoping this didn't happen with Blossoms in the Dust.

Yeah they certainly don't show enough for Greer or Ronald and when they do show their movies it's the same ones they always show. That is why those two I never heard of got me excited the other day and I will be recording both of them.
