I am staring at those fuzzy images and trying to convince myself that that is indeed Greer. The announcer says that it is, so I guess it is.
Part 2 has been uploaded, but Greer isn't in it.

A Mr. Matthew Long (the most excellent uploader of these Perry Como videos) has assured me (via YouTube-mail) that he will upload the entire Como show this week so that we'll get to see more of Greer!
This show must seem very quaint and goofy, but the velvet-voiced Perry was huge back in the late 1950s through the 1960s. I'm actually surprised that they were still putting him on the air as recently as 1979, for I thought that he was done by the mid-1960s.
And back in those days Ann Murray was a Canadian superstar and institution, even though I never knew any Canadians who actually liked her very much. (We Canadians always hate other Canadians who've made it big in the US. Jealousy perhaps.)

I actually have this DVD which I got on ebay a few weeks ago. The quality is a little better, but it is also not very clear.
There is a segment at the end in which Greer explains the luminaries that light the way to the church. She then speaks from insided the church.
Apparently, wherever these DVD's came from, they are poor quality. Probably copied too many times.

The part of the Perry Como 1979 show with Greer is not yet uploaded to Youtube, but here is a still from part 1 which somehow seems to me to be very Greer-like.  |
